Overview:
The Junior HR Associate will provide essential support to the HR department in various administrative and operational functions. This entry-level role will play a vital part in maintaining efficient HR processes and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to develop foundational HR skills and contribute to the overall success of the organization.
Responsibilities:
Onboarding and Offboarding:
Assist with new employee onboarding, including preparing welcome materials, conducting orientations, and assisting with paperwork.
Support the offboarding process by coordinating exit interviews, collecting company property, and updating relevant HR records.
HR Administration:
Maintain accurate employee records and databases, ensuring data integrity and confidentiality.
Help generate HR reports and compile relevant data for analysis.
Support HR initiatives, including employee engagement programs, performance evaluations, and training and development activities.
Recruitment and Selection:
Collaborate with the HR team to coordinate the recruitment process, including posting job vacancies, screening resumes, and scheduling interviews.
Assist in conducting initial interviews and reference checks.
Coordinate candidate communication and maintain applicant tracking systems.
Benefits and Compensation:
Assist in managing employee benefits programs, including enrollment, changes, and inquiries.
Support the administration of payroll processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
Collaborate with the HR team to communicate compensation and benefits policies to employees.
HR Policies and Compliance:
Help ensure compliance with employment laws, regulations, and internal policies.
Assist in maintaining and updating employee handbooks and other HR policy documents.
Contribute to creating a culture of inclusivity and diversity within the organization.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with employees at all levels of the organization.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately.
Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with HRIS (Human Resources Information Systems) is a plus.
